5th theme_Spiritual Environment (Princess Mononoke and Agora)

The Da Vinci Code

This movie is about spiritual environments because it emphasis how certain events can alter someones religious beliefs. This is very similar to the film Agora how the Pagans thought differently from the Christians and were then ostracized. The Da Vinci Code brought up the topic of spirituality because it brought up drama within the Catholic Church that Mary Magdalene and Jesus were married and produced a daughter. This is similar Agora because in the film the Da Vinci Code people fought to protect this secret, or in other cases to protect, similar to Agora when they saved all of their scrolls.

4th theme_Animals in our Environment (White God and Project Nim)

Blackfish

Blackfish is a movie about animals in our environment because it depicts how the nature of how isolating animals for entertainment of the public is detrimental to them. This film is about a killer whale who was isolated and put into small cramped places while it was at sea life theme parks. Ultimately the whale ends up at Sea World in Orlando and kills a trainer and this stuns the public. The poor treatment and abuse that the whale dealt with throughout its life in captivity was the ultimate clue to why it's behavior led to it killing a trainer. This movie is similar to White God because the animal is isolated and treated poorly, just like when the dog was kidnapped and given drugs to become aggressive, led to violent and lethal behaviors.

3rd theme_ Environments of Ecology (Avatar and Prometheus)

WALL-E

This movie depicts the environments of ecology through the entrance into a different world. Similar to Avatar the protagonist, WALL-E, enters a different world than what he is used to. Earth is no longer settled by humans and they have moved on to space. Wall-E ends up traveling to space and sees the difference in the world he is used to living in versus the world that people live in currently in the film. In Avatar, the scientists traveled to  new world to study the habitat that surrounded them and how different it was compared to earths, and Wall-E did the same exact thing when he boarded the space craft supplying life to the humans.

2nd theme_Environments of Travel (Wah Do Dem)

Eat, Pray, Love.

This film depicts environments of travel. This woman leaves her life in the US and goes on a spiritual journey where she travels all over Europe visiting countries like Italy, India, and making a stop in Bali; all environments far different from what she was used to in the United States. This movie is similar to Wah Do Dem because they both show young people who want to escape their lives in US and travel. Although their experiences were a lot different it altered their views on these countries, or the country they visited in. I chose this movie because it depicts what it is like to travel to another country and experience new environments far different from your own.

1st theme_ Environments of Difference (Under the Skin and Wasteland)

Irobot

This movie represents environments in difference because it represents a society in which robots become members of society and serve humans. The robots end up turning on humans and overtake their society. This shows the difference between humans and robots and how the robots do not fit into the everyday life as humans and are only made to serve the humans. These three films explore how different being still attempt to fit in with humans, and this correlates direct with under the skin.I picked this film because it peaked my interest and made me somewhat sympathize for the robots.
